1966 Riley Elf MK2
This car was restored over 5 yrs. and has undergone some updating to enable a better reliability. Mods include 50A Alternator, 123 Ignition, Pre-Engaged Starter Motor, Larger carburettor, and heated manifold, 4 Synchro gearbox with remote change. The engine was rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, Cam chain to cam belt conversion and unleaded head. An Alloy Radiator replaces the old copper radiator. The engine uses waterless Coolant and is fitted with a spin off Oil Filter.
The Hydrolastic Suspension has been reconditioned and has Telescopic dampers also, it is fitted with Cooper reverse rims and 165x10 Tyres and an Alloy Spare wheel. Brakes are fitted with all new wheel cylinders, brake shoes and springs.
A full history, receipts, pictures, factory workshop manual and magazine come with the car. The car is fitted with a custom wiring loom to accommodate daytime lights, halogen headlamps, Rear Fog and Spotlights the reverse lamp is fitted but not wired up to a switch as yet.
The dash has been re-veneered in dark Walnut with Magnolia Instruments, Internal bonnet Release, Lower veneered panels incorporating Radio/ CD I also have an alternative period Grundig Radio that could be fitted by request.
