In 1923 a new 4-cylinder Overland model was introduced, designated Model 92. It was built on a 106 inch wheelbase and more readily remembered as the Bird series. Red Birds had red bodies, Black Birds had black bodies, and Blue Birds of course had blue bodies. Sometimes all these models are known simply as the Overland Four. Total combined production of the 4-cylinder models 4, 4A, 91, 91A, and 92 over the August 1919 to May 1926 period amounted to some 642 vehicles.

This 1923 Willys Overland ‘Red Bird’ was built in the first year of production, sporting Red paintwork, lovely Red leather interior, and White hood. This example has been running whilst on site, although it will require a 6v battery. We recommend for this car to be fully recommissioned before it is used on UK roads. The engine does run and sound healthy, as can be seen in the video. A fabulous pre-war tourer and a fantastic recommissioning project. In lovely condition throughout and deserves to be cherished for another 101 years.
