Offered for sale for the first time in over 20 years, 'LD1116' provides its next owner the opportunity of a very original and complete 8HP De Dion Bouton. A well documented example having completed over 20 London to Brighton runs, the car has also completed tours/rallies in France on multiple occasions. Presented in a cream colour livery with mulberry leather, the car presents beautifully considering its approaching its 120th birthday. The car benefits from a 4 seat rear entrance tonneau, Stepney wheel, Klaxon and Brass horn. The car was last run in 2019 pre Covid 19 so will need some light recommissioning prior to use (can be arranged via separate negotiation) although when it was 'put away' it was running well. Running on Trembler coil ignition and with its original De Dion carburettor the car is offered in excellent 'unmolested' condition. Other recent works included the rebuild of the wheels by well respected wheelwright Douglas Andrews, East Sussex.

Previous History - The car was purchased by a Mr P Lucking in 1986, it later changed hands and was entered in the 1993 and 1994 London to Brighton Runs under the name 'A Dane'. The current owner purchased the car shortly before the year 2000 and completed 9 London to Brighton Runs, the French Teuf Teuf and numerous other tours.
