1989 Austin Mini Red Flame Limited Edition

For sale. This Mini Red Flame is a limited edition, one of 17 survivors< it under went an extensive body restoration in 2020, costing £5,200. The bodywork looks like new and the car runs superbly. MOT August 2023.

Rover Groups, Austin Mini Flame Red and white Special. Just 1,000 were built as the Flame Red, which was one of 3 Special Editions launched at the time, the others were the Black Check Mate and the Green Racing Editions. All all had Duotone paint, with the White Roof. The cars had Chrome Bumpers, Black Centre Grille and 'Flame Red' unique decals to the rear quarters and boot lid. They were all finished with the 12" Minilite Style Alloy Wheels.

The special edition models were upholstered in the 'Black Crayons' seat trim, with upholstered front head restraints and, unique cloth effect PVC door trims with featured red stripe. To compliment the sporty image the steering wheel was a rake adjust 3 -Spoke soft feel, and the dash featured a triple binnacle incorporating the revcounter, speedo and fuel and temperature gauges. All 3 specials had a 998cc transverse engine fitted with a 4 speed gearbox.
