Offered here is what is believed to be a Austin Mini Racing Green – just one of 1000 examples produced by Austin in the late 1980s.

As with all Racing Green Editions, this example is finished with a contrasting gloss-white roof, and unique coachline decals. Inside, the cabin features Black and ‘Crayon’ patterned cloth upholstery and a 3 dial instrument cluster. The factory specification includes a heated rear windscreen, manually operated windows, and heater and ventilation controls. 12 inch Mini lite style alloys also feature with matching tyres. We believe the Mini has been restored and repainted at some time, hence the green paint is not the metallic British Racing Green colour that featured on Racing Green models as standard.

This example is the perfect Mini to be used and enjoyed, recently passing an MOT with no advisories. The exterior appears free of major rot and corrosion, although there is some bubbling under the rear screen rubber.

It appears that this Mini was initially registered abroad before being imported into the UK in 2000 – hence the date of registration in the V5C of 25/4/2000.

A very useable car, that is ready to be used and enjoyed in the coming show season.
