Here is a great opportunity for someone to restore a Peugeot 205 GTi to its original factory specification, or indeed make into a modded car. The choice is yours, because you’re starting from a good place, yes it is a restoration, but upon a quick look it is not a bad car. All the bits seem to be there and as it stands now, it is factory standard specification. It has the correct wheels, factory sunroof and most of the trim is in place, albeit needing sorting out. The Peugeot was registered on 1/5/1987 to its first owner and was finished in metallic grey with the GTi trim - a rather nice combination as most of these were black, white or red, nothing wrong with that, but it’s nice to see a different colour.

The 205 has been in the current ownership since 2013 and we believe has been stored for most of that time, hence needing a restoration, but it would appear to have been stored quite well. We are aware it needs a battery and a starter motor, and we are sure there will be a lot more but that’s half the fun of a restoration - finding and repairing bits on it. The real joy will be bringing this Peugeot back to its former glory, as it deserves to be. There will not be many left of these now and they are rising in value as time goes by, having been deemed to be one of the world’s best GTi cars around.

There is a little bit of paperwork in the form of a clear HPi, a V5, a selection of older MOTs, some invoices and receipts, and most importantly its handbook pack complete with a service book containing 9 stamps from its early days - a great thing to still be with the car. As ever we recommend viewing first hand to satisfy yourself as to how much work needs to go into it, but we are sure you will not be disappointed. Remember, this is the one to have with the 1.9 engine so enjoy!
