This Scimitar from West Somerset has been in the current ownership since February 1990 We understand that a reconditioned engine was fitted in 1993 and throughout the Nineties and beyond, the car was very well maintained, as evidenced in the history file.  We understand that the engine was overhauled less than 1000 miles ago. Work to the water pump was carried out in 2022. We are told that the Reliant starts and runs well, having been recently fitted with a new battery, new radiator hoses, a new water pump seal and new clutch master and slave cylinders. The brakes have also apparently been overhauled. The left-hand inner headlamp (dip) is not working.

Cosmetically, a good polish would transform the visuals of the motor car; the body is tidy with no serious issues, the left-hand front wing panel has been touched in with primer in a couple of places. The original alloy wheels would benefit from a polish too. The interior trims are in good condition, as is the headlining and dashboard. The rear seat is very good, the trim buttons on the front seats are adrift.

The history file contains MOT test certificates from 1989, spare parts lists, numerous invoices from the 1990s and 2000s, maintenance information, the original handbook, a workshop manual, a restoration guide, three books on the Scimitar and the V5 document.
