  • Rare garage find with extremely low mileage indicated (believed genuine)
  • Family owned since new
  • Comes with original book pack and previous MOTs
  • Worthwhile restoration project
  • Wonderful exterior and interior patina

It’s 50 years since the launch of the Cavalier in the UK, which therefore makes this early Mk1 version a timely find.

Having lain dormant in a local house garage since the early noughties, the car was recently extracted and is now available to purchase.

The car was purchased brand new in 1976 by Mr George O’Connor from Garlick Burrell & Hughes Vauxhall Dealers in Renshaw St, Liverpool, and transferred to his wife after 2 years when he unfortunately passed away. The Cavalier was used sparingly over the next few years until it was tucked away in the early noughties. The car is now in the name of their daughter. In essence, this is a true family owned from new classic.

The MOT history on file suggests the mileage showing is correct – and the condition of the interior alone would confirm this. The exterior obviously has signs of age, wear, and surface rust although this only adds to the charm of the car. The period Pastel Beige paint colour is so 70s, as is the beige / black houndstooth cloth interior. The interior also boasts an aftermarket stereo radio and what looks like a digital clock.

There are also 2 stamps in the service book – one at 545 miles, and one at 7465 miles.

In addition to the standard paperwork on file, there is a bag in the boot of the car containing a couple of manuals and AA membership paperwork and badge.

Please note we have not attempted to start the Cavalier and given the nature of the car, we suggest you visit our premises in Cheshire to view before purchase.

Overall, this is a rare and exciting find which would make a very rewarding project to work on in the coming months – available at No Reserve.
