  • Probably the best in the UK
  • Huge photo album showing extensive rebuild
  • Rare sunroof model
  • UK supplied RHD car

Where do we start with this?

This is probably the best Fiat 500 we have ever seen! The attention to detail and the build quality of this example is off the scale. This little Fiat has had a full “nut and bolt” rebuild with the most amazing attention to detail you will probably never come across on a car like this. Every part has been broken down and rebuilt starting with the shell. It is as new, if not better. Every part was powder coated before being re-assembled, even the seat springs and pedal box, both things you will never see, but the comprehensive photo album shows it done.

The engine and gearbox are unbelievable in detail, cleanliness and workmanship as is the whole car. During the rebuild, the vendor added a syncro from a Fiat 126 to the gearbox to make it easier to drive and more useable in modern traffic. The gearbox is still the original box, just upgraded, the engine is like new and the interior is incredible. It is just the perfect Fiat 500 which would grace any collection or be a fantastic useable daily car for little money. Talking of money, there are a large selection of bills and receipts detailing all the parts bought for this little gem. Thankfully, the vendor being a very skilled engineer with an unshakeable eye for detail carried out all the work himself over a long period of time. Otherwise the man hours would add up to tens of thousands alone, yet alone the parts.

When he was carrying out the work, there was a temptation to change the colour or make it into an Arbarth replica but thankfully he didn’t. The car is as true as it was when it rolled out of the factory and came to the UK, in the original colour of orange and complete with the very rare roll back sunroof. When the car was complete the vendor then waxoyled all the vulnerable and exposed parts to protect it for the future. This on top of most of the parts being powder coated with B4 paint, make for a very well put together car with hopefully no future rust or body problems. Once all this was finished, the car was fitted with the correct Michelin tyres, of which there are 5, onto the fresh wheels. As already said, the attention to detail is incredible.

If you wish to come and see the car in the metal, please do, as we would love to show you it at our purpose built auction rooms in Cheshire. Hopefully we can all agree on how superb this little Fiat 500 is and show some respect to the vendor, as he is a very talented man.
