1970 Lotus Europa S2

Rebuilt and re-engineered a few years ago. Body off chassis restoration. Original chassis fully restored with all new suspension components and uprated anti-roll bar fitted. Fully rebuilt Renault 807 Fuego 1640cc engine with Gordon head with Twin 45 Dellorto carbs with electronic ignition. Current output of engine 151bhp and it has a smooth delivery of power from the bottom end and throughout the rev range. The gearbox has been upgraded to the Renault NC-1 which is one of the best gearboxes we have used in a Europa. The gear linkage has been re-engineered using rose-joints, hence the very slick gear change. New rear suspension and cross frame to support the gearbox. Remote oil filter fitted with oil cooler slung alongside the gearbox. Full width high capacity aluminium radiator, thermostatically controlled fan with manual override switch. New stainless steel fore and aft coolant pipes. Bonnet modified to aid throughput of air. Twin fuel tanks with buttress mounted fuel caps. Buttress further modified to provide air ducts to aid engine cooling. Uprated brake discs, all hydraulics replaced including pipework. Uprated starter motor and alternator. New alloy wheels and Yokohama tyres fitted recently. New wiring loom fitted during restoration. Seats rebuilt and upholstery and carpets renewed. Electric windows restored. Radiomobile converted to MP3/iPhone player. Full photographic history of restoration and associated paperwork. This is one of the best Europas we have driven, having been thoroughly sorted and makes an ideal fast road car with stunning performance in all departments. Fully serviced and MOT'd (although MOT exempt) and road tax fee exempt.
