Here we have an opportunity to get yourself a project that would appear to have been started and then stalled - a rare Daimler 250 V8 finished in maroon with black leather. It looks like the previous owner was trying make it into a ‘Coombes’ replica. The V8 doesn’t run and we have not tried to start it, but it may well do so with a little bit of coaxing by its new owner.

Interestingly the car has a newish (untested) Pioneer sat-nav system hidden in the glove box and it looks like it is on the original wheels, of which there are 5. The chrome would appear to be original, but it does need cleaning to bring back to new. If you continue the look of the Daimler you may remove the chrome anyway to give it the ‘Coombes’ look.

The vendor has informed us that recently many new parts have been fitted, we don’t quite know when, which include front brakes, rear brakes and discs, new springs and shocks, steering joints replaced and master cylinder x2. It is also stated that the engine did run reliably and sweet and the underside is solid, but please come and see the Daimler to satisfy yourself on what exactly has been done to this V8.
