1965 PORSCHE 356C 1600 Karmann

This fantastic yellow Porsche 356C 1600 Karmann Coupe came off the production line on the 21st July 1964 and headed straight to the States. This well loved C version was the last of the series preceding the introduction of the 911. It has a full set of disc brakes, a sturdier stabiliser strut, modified wheel hubs and rims as well as modification to the steering housing and coulomb. The gearbox synchronisation was much improved in comparison to the B-series. The seats, dashboard and blower also were an improvement. The 356 C represents the best and most developed progression of the 356 series. Recently the car benefitted from a full restoration and mechanical rebuild. The bodywork is lovely with perfect fitting body panels and fine paintwork. The completely sound and rust-free underbody is as good as new. The restoration process was carefully recorded with many photos. Since the restoration this 356 has only had 635 kilometres added to the clock! The car has its original 'Champagner Gelb 6405' finish with a fetching black leather interior trim. It has retained its original 'matching numbers' 614/15 engine and matching numbers gearbox. This particular engine produced 75 Hp and was only fitted to the '64 and '65 cars. This fabulous 356 C a supreme example of its sort and has been restored back to its original factory condition!
