Sellers description
1950 Healey Silverstone
chassis D38, engine B3977, original registration HSF 856, FIVA Id. Card. 046314.
Back in 1947, Donald Healey created his Warwick factory to start up a small production of racing vehicles ; with its strong and powerful Riley 2.5 engine unit, the Healey Silverstone has been the sports car icon for a whole generation of drivers. This peculiar example is the 38th of the 105 cars ever produced and has a very interesting and fully documented history; the car still retains its original registration number, which was delivered by John Brown Motors in Edinburgh to D.G. Clarke, who drove it successfully at the Winfield Circuit in 1951. The car is in pristine condition with a very nice dark red livery and a perfect interior, it's a very well know car, matching numbers, fully restored and Mille Miglia eligible, of course. A truly important investment!
