Boasting retractable headlights, front wheel drive, and stylish bodywork, this rare Cord 812 'Sportsman' will make a fantastic project for someone.

Launched in 1935 as the Cord 810 (later renamed the 812) in different body styles, this 2 door roadster version is rare in that it is right hand drive.

This car should be treated as a stalled restoration project. We have a few spare parts, rear seat base and chromework including the iconic chrome exhaust pipes that exit the bonnet.

It also appears that the car was converted to a manual at an earlier date by a previous owner, and twin carbs were installed.

Early photos of the car in its complete and roadworthy state appear to show the car painted in a gold colour. We understand that the car was repainted cream as part of the restoration process – and pictures in the file of the car being delivered back to the owners home appear to back this up.
