Exterior
The vehicle is a sight to behold with the Mulliner coachwork boasting wider wheel arches that give the car a muscular stance over its silver 18 inch 5 spoke alloys. The T had larger brake discs and dual front brake calipers. It was also equipped with ABS.
The fantastic colour option, looks almost black in some light, and glistens a deep navy blue in the sunlight. The external paint and panels are in very good order and the current owner has meticulously maintained the paintwork with regular valets and ceramic coating to protect and provide an all-year-round shine.
Interior
Move to the interior and you’re greeted by a magnificence that is truly Bentley – the light grey hide seats are barely worn-in, with contrasting dark blue carpets. The dashboard is adorned with a plethora of dials evoking that of a fighter cockpit surround, and that famous red starter button. The top roll of the dashboard is trimmed in black hide, the steering wheel is duo tone in black/ light grey and the headlining in light grey with dark blue carpet to lower door panels. The optional extra woodwork is finished in spruce and burr walnut veneer and is in very good condition. The hide interior is in remarkably good condition, with no sign of any repairs having been carried out and retaining the smell of leather when you open the doors. The factory fitted built in telephone is still present in the centre console stowage compartment.
Engine
With this Continental T being one of the later models, it boasts the increased performance figure of 420hp and 881nm (650 lb-ft) of torque available at only 2, 200 rpm: The highest of any road car at the time and higher even than any F1 car from the 1997 season when the ‘T’ was introduced.
Performance, due to 91 kg (200 lb) less weight, was slightly better than the Continental R cars with the same engine. Due to its shorter wheelbase and compact interior, the Continental T was classified as a subcompact car by the EPA.
Performance figures included a 0–60 mph time of 6. 2 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 14. 5 seconds at 98. 3 mph along with a slalom speed of 62. 2 mph while the top speed was an estimated 170 mph.
Ramsport have maintained this vehicle with a no expense spared approach to ensure the vehicle is in the best possible condition throughout. Prior to this the vehicle was serviced and maintained by Bentley main dealers, Hillier Hill Ltd
and GT Services in Cheshire.
In 2019, Ramsport carried out the replacement of the outer sills on the vehicle, which are a common issue with this era of Bentley. The sills were fabricated in house and have been modified to include drainage holes to be able gain access to rust protect in these originally sealed crevasses.
Sale is to include the cherished registration, however can be supplied with the original registration, if preferred.
The vehicle will be supplied with 12 months MOT, service, user handbooks, Bentley charger and cloth indoor car cover supplied in a complementary shade of blue.
Viewing is recommended and by appointment only, by far the cheapest on the market this is priced to sell with serious offers around £79, 995 considered.
