1989 Ford Escort RS Turbo
In remarkable condition throughout

Supplied new to Italy and imported into the UK in 2021, this exciting Fast Ford is of course a MkIV Escort RS Turbo Series 2. Finished in Diamond White and sat upon its original 15” alloy wheels, it looks to be in remarkably standard order externally with a good paint finish.

Under the bonnet, we find the typical 1.6 litre CVH four-cylinder engine with single Garrett turbo charger which in standard tune, when new, produced 132Bhp and 180NM of torque driving the front wheels via five-speed manual transmission. It is pleasing to see that it still retains the original air box and the original stamped front wings. This example was driven some 40 miles to the sale room and drives extremely well.

Inside the car, the Grey upholstery on the Recaro seats has held up superbly well, showing no signs of the usual sagging issues. The dashboard is uncracked and the odometer is showing 23,296 km, which although we cannot confirm that the mileage is correct, judging by the condition it could well be. The whole vehicle is in remarkable condition throughout and has evidently been cherished over the past 35 years. This one is good enough to grace any Ford collection.
