EXTERIOR
This beautiful and factory standard Ford Escort RS Turbo is finished in original Ford Rosso Red, (Code R5), and has covered a mere 51,169 miles from new. The stunning paintwork boasts a deep uniform shine and highly polished finish while still retaining the correct factory orange peal. All panels are factory fitment and remain arrow straight with uniform gaps, factory wheel arch extension rivets, correct 88-spec trim sections and RS decals are superb. A carefully touched in mark to the nearside C-pillar and slightly discoloured front and rear Ford oval badges are the only imperfections worthy of mention. The original Sekurit dot-dated glass remains throughout and the headlamps, spot lamps and absolutely all other clusters are the factory correct Carello and Ford fitment respectively. Very seldom is such a genuine unmolested RS Turbo found and this example will delight the avid blue oval aficionado seeking to remain true to the Ford RS vision.

INTERIOR
This Escort RS Turbo has an outstanding interior remaining exactly as Ford intended. The fully adjustable supportive Recaro seats show no undue wear to the spotless Daytona Raven fabric, (Code SW), and the huge body-hugging bolsters are firm and retain correct shape. Matching door cards are fully intact with none of the common deterioration to the inner pull handles. The driver’s door arm rest is slightly compressed. The pristine carpets have retained complete fullness to the pile and remain beautifully preserved having been protected from new by Ford rubber ‘waffle’ floor mats. All switches, knobs and dials function correctly and the fully operational Ford Self-Seek stereo radio/cassette with speaker directional control remains fitted. The boot area is very clean with original build stickers intact and a straight uncut parcel shelf. Even the Ford labels to the seatbelts remain attached! A truly magnificent example of this legendary RS Ford.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 1.6 OHC (CVH) fuel injected engine with a Garrett AiResearch T3 turbo charger and intercooler is completely factory standard making this vehicle a rare example and highly sought after. Producing 132bhp in such a lightweight car, the 0-60 dash is dealt with in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 128mph is achieved. A completely standard and unspoilt engine compartment displays factory labels and metal plates to the slam panel including the coloured-coded body plate that had never been repainted. The inner front wings display correct date stamps to the rear of the panel and small Ford emblem pressing toward the front edge. Accuracy seekers will be pleased to see Motorcraft leads, hoses and service items including the fuel filter. Even the original Ford battery cover has not gone missing! The 5-speed manual Ford BC box is light and precise with crisp clutch action.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The instantly recognisable RS Turbo light alloy 6X15 wheels remain undamaged and pristine. Five matching premium Pirelli Cinturato P1 195/50 R15 tyres were fitted brand new in 2021 with virtually no usage since. This fast Ford icon stops as well as it goes with the ABS braking system designed in conjunction with Lucas Girling working perfectly.
