The Silver Spur was the moniker adopted by Rolls-Royce for the long wheelbase versions of the Silver Spirit, and belonged to a new generation of models that also included that marque's Flying Spur, Silver Dawn, Touring Limousine and Park Ward, and the Mulsanne and Eight Series models of its sister company, Bentley. Penned by Fritz Feller, the range was first represented at the 1980 Paris Salon and was a welcome replacement for the long-serving Silver Shadow and its siblings.

Offered here is a 1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, presented in Claret with Gold fine lines. Parchment upholstery with Red piping is specified in the interior. Supplied new by SMAC group to The Regan Group Ltd on 01/07/85. This example has covered a modest 70,000 miles over 3 former keepers. Recently recommissioned by PGC tuning, Southport, which included a full engine and gearbox service in August 2023. The Claret paintwork is in fair condition, with some age-related marks showing here and there, to be expected in a vehicle of this age. Inside, the upholstery has held up well, showing no noticeable rips or tears. The wood trim is suffering from some sun damage and cracking throughout that may require attention in the future.

These cars were eye-wateringly expensive when new, temptingly guided at £5,000 - £6,000, it is certainly a lot of car for your money. This example runs sweetly and idles quietly, it starts on the button and is ready to be used and enjoyed.
