Here we have a nice example of the fast-appreciating Mercedes W123 with the 2300cc engine, automatic gearbox and coupe body shell. A very nice combination! This example we have before us is finished in Frozen White with tan cloth interior, a very pleasing colour choice and very much of the of the time. The 1980s were very much about light interiors and if you know your Mercedes, you will know they had a very durable interior, and this has stood up well. The car has the factory electric sunroof, head lamp wipers and is currently wearing chrome wheel arches, which match the very nice chrome on the car, and again are a very 1980s accessory.

The service history is very nice with lots of older invoices and receipts detailing its early life and history, even down to details of having a new engine that was supplied by Crewe Engines and fitted by Rawsons TMS Ltd, a Mercedes dealer in Kent. The Mercedes still has its original service book, containing 28 stamps, complete with its owner’s manuals and instruction books too. Nice things to still be with a car that is 43 years old. There is even paperwork detailing one of the previous owners chasing up retaining the original non-personalised registration number to put back on the car to keep it as original as possible. A nice touch, and gives you an indication about how well it was cared for.

All in all, this is a great opportunity to acquire possibly one of the most desirable Mercedes- Benz cars of the 1980s, and one that can be driven on a daily basis and keep up with modern traffic whilst looking very cool.
