First supplied to Mr Jenkins of Cwmbran in Gwent by Lex Mead of Newport, this late B Roadster has been in the current ownership for sixteen years. We understand the sports car to be in good, usable overall condition, with mostly good paintwork (apart from some evidence of blistering to the front scuttle panel adjacent to the right hand front wing). The underside and chassis are thought to be in good order. The black leather upholstery is smart and the hood is a recent replacement in mohair. The MG is fitted with alloy road wheels, a boot rack and chrome bumpers. It also benefits from a hardtop.

In 2020, attention was paid to amongst others the rear springs and braking system, and a new fuel pump and pipe were fitted, as were the clutch slave and master cylinders. In 2023, over £6000 was spent on further specialist mechanical work and a gearbox conversion to automatic. The most recent MOT expired in July last year.

The history file contains invoices, MOT test certificates, the original bill of sale and confirmation letter from 1980, the original BL passport to service, photographs, older registration documents and the current V5C registration certificate.
