I need to sell my beloved Exeter Blue Silver Shadow 2, having just made a hefty investment in another car. As much as I would love to keep this car as it's stunning with a great history, I am forced to sell her. I spent a year looking at Silver Shadow 2’s to buy one for my own personal collection travelling all over the country looking at misdescribed "immaculate" cars at auction and privately. Eventually I found this car and quickly purchased it as was by far the best I had seen in over 20+ cars. The tyres were a bit perished on the sidewalls but other than that, just immaculate. Since my ownership I have had 4 new tyres fitted in 2020, fitted a Calibre retro Bluetooth stereo, upgraded the door speakers to Pioneers had the body detailed & ceramic polished, replaced the fuel level sender as told dangerous lies and had her serviced twice. She lives in a dry, warm garage on a CTek battery charger and starts first time every time.

Prior to my ownership (probate car) the old gentleman had this car restored at huge expense with new wheel arches, new sills and a beautiful coat of new deep and shiny Exeter blue paint. The car now presents beautifully inside and out and drives like a dream, as every Silver Shadow 2 should.

The car has just had 2 new front dampers and a few other little bits as part of an inspection to make perfect for the new owner (that didn’t complete) fitted by the well renowned Nigel Sandell Rolls-Royce & Bentley specialist in London. What we thought was a slight ball joint rattle was actually a slightly noisy NSF damper, so we replaced both dampers with brand new Bilsteins (only the best) at a cost of over £1000. Whilst being inspected we also found it needed 2 rubber bonnet grommets and a reversing light bulb to make A1.

Interesting history as was originally ordered by Rolls-Royce of Beverley Hills on 14^th August 1979 but delivered by Jack Barclay in London on 8^th February 1980 to an Englishman Mr Warwick Feldman, who resided in both London and Los Angeles. This is a very well optioned Silver Shadow 2 with some very cool extras, all specified from new.  This car set Mr Feldman back £40,335 in 1979, the equivalent of £236,648 in today’s money.  The car still matches perfectly with its original UK spec original factory build file of Exeter Blue paintwork, Dark Blue Everflex roof, Dark Blue hides piped in Beige, a very rare Baroda Blue wool cloth headlining and twin Beige hand painted fine lines. The extras continue onto the Top Roll, Instrument Board Roll, Radio Surround and under dash trim also piped in dark blue hides (normally black in a standard car). The interior of this car is just simply beautiful complimented by perfect carpets and deep pile Lambswool rugs. It also still has that wonderful RR leather smell.

There is only one negative I would highlight on this car and that is the rear bumper has a slight bulge in the centre rubber. Easy fix once sourced the correct part. Could be rectified as part of a deal if the full asking price is offered, then you have a perfect car in every respect.

I have had very little use from this stunning car having only covered around 1200 miles since purchase in 2019. I’m confident you will be seriously challenged to find a car as nice as this one at this price, trust me from my past experience. I looked at so many cars for sale privately and those heading to auction; all I can say is OMG!!!. Seriously, if I could afford to keep it I would for sure.
