Rover produced over 320,000 P6’s between 1963 & 1977 and they were quite the engineering leap at the time; the clever body structure was a steel monocoque “base-unit” with bolt-on outer panels along with an aluminium bonnet and boot. Suspension using front independent rocker arm layout and rear de Dion tube offered an excellent ride, add to that disc brakes all round with rear discs mounted inboard and it offered significantly improved handling and stopping. They offered a sophisticated ride, handsome styling and the performance and handling that appealed to cops & robbers alike.

Powered by a 1,978 cc OHC four-cylinder single-carb engine producing about 90 bhp @ 5,000 rpm, mated to a Synchromesh 4-speed manual gearbox, gave a top speed of 102 mph and 0–60 mph in 14 seconds - pretty sharp performance in 1972.

Finished in Beige, a popular colour choice in period, with what is believed to be the original Light Tan interior, the vendor confirms this is a solid example without the dreaded corrosion issues that these often succumb to. A super honest example; its on the key and ready to be used and enjoyed.
