We are very pleased to present you with this very pleasing Mercedes 450 SL finished in silver with a beautiful brown interior. A very unusual colour combination, but we think it is fabulous! We can’t guarantee it left the factory like that, maybe it did, but either way the whole car looks magnificent with the colour and the ‘Mexican Hat’ alloys and hardtop. This is finished off with a very clean body with great chrome. When you see a car that has been cared for you kind of know, and this is that car. The displayed mileage of 80,000 is credible and believable, but as ever please make your own checks.

The SL was first registered on 25/3/1975 on an expensive number plate that stayed with it until 1991 when it changed hands. This information comes from the HPi which also tells us that it has only had 5 owners since - quite low for a car that is 50 years old. Other paperwork includes a large collection of previous MOTs, which sit nicely with the recent one valid until March 2026 even though it doesn’t need one - again giving you an indication that it has been cared for. It also has a collection of invoices, some valuations from the Mercedes Owner’s Club and Mercedes themselves, the original owner’s manual and some nice photographs from days gone by.

Going back to the specification, besides the brown interior which may be factory trim, it has the period alloy wheels, hard top, headlamp wash and driving lamps. This a very nice looking example with the correct specification and in very pleasing condition.
