We are pleased to offer this very attractive MGB Roadster finished in damask red with black trim with a contrasting black hood - a lovely colour combination.

It’s a very clean and pretty example that would make for a fun car to keep in the garage or an ideal starter classic. And you know that we love a good starter classic, especially an MGB Roadster, one of the best sports cars of all time.

Previously registered as ‘ROK 2G’, the history is impressive with a large file full of invoices and receipts going back to the 80s, along with older MOTs, tax discs and a Workshop Manual. The latest invoices amount to over £1,000 by way of a new battery and the refurbishment of the wire wheels and fitting of new tyres. The vendor has informed us that more recent work also includes a new water pump, a rebuild of the alternator and all ignition parts replaced

It appears that the B had a new unleaded engine fitted in the mid-90s - invoice on file for £832.50 from MGOC which also included a new clutch kit. The vendor has told us that work over the years on the car included the fitting of brand new carbs, radiator, a stainless exhaust, new steering rack, rear road springs, and a brake overhaul.

The specification is also good with such things as a tonneau cover, Mountney steering wheel, leather seats, chrome door mirrors, and Ro-style wheels. There are also some period Selmar and Triplex stickers in the windscreen, which are a nice touch.

The exterior is in great condition with only the odd mark, as you would expect with a car of this age and the paintwork sits very well with the wire wheels and the chromework.
