A very quick and extensively restored Wolseley Hornet (a Mini with a boot but more luxurious), this car had a nut and bolt restoration around 8 years ago and has been upgraded with a 1275cc engine with twin SUs, and RC40 exhaust.  The engine and gearbox have just had a £3,000 rebuild and are only just run in.  The front brakes have been upgraded to discs and the hydrolastic suspension has competition stops and dampers, giving a very smooth ride and good handling.  The car performs like a Cooper ‘S’ with very sprightly performance, including excellent acceleration.  The brakes work well, assisted by the servo and there are four matching tyres.  The interior is very good, the seats having been replaced, along with the carpets, at the time of restoration.  The red and cream paintwork is very good with only the odd blemish and the chromework is fine. The structure and underside are excellent, clean and tidy, as is the engine bay and the floors were all replaced during the restoration.  The front seams are good , A panels etc, no tin worm.  This is a wolf in sheep’s clothing – get your cheque book out!! (if you still have such a thing …!)  Comes with V5C and will have new MOT.
