  • Lots of old and new history
  • Beautiful interior
  • Drives and presents very well
  • Driven to us by the vendor who is a man of the cloth

Here we have a very charming Morris Minor De-Luxe 4-Door finished in cream with a beautiful red interior. This nice example was supplied by B.R. Ayers of Rose Lane, Liverpool, on 3/5/1962 who were the Morris supplier for a long time. It would appear that the Minor spent a lot of its time in the early days around that part of the world, judging by the accompanying paperwork which is quite considerable and amazing that it is still with the car. History from the 1960s is a lovely thing to have with your classic. There is also a selection of later bills and receipts, some very detailed handwritten details explaining lots of work carried out over its life, along with details of a restoration between 2006 and 2011.

The Morris comes with a heritage certificate stating it was built in or around late November 1961 and was originally rose taupe - we think it looks better in cream with the red interior - and was a De-Luxe model, which gives it a heater when new. The original buff logbook suggests that the dealer was the first owner, and is a nice thing to have. Other paperwork includes lots of printouts explaining routine maintenance and how things work, as well a large collection of previous MOTs, lots of information from the Morris Minors Owners Club including a valuation certificate, and it even has a copies of previous adverts from when it was sold in its earlier life.

There has never been a better time to get yourself a Morris Minor, either as a starter classic or something for your collection, and this may be the one for you. Prices are starting to climb and an example like this one is better than a lot for sale at the moment. A great history, lots of paperwork, beautiful interior, appears to have been very well cared for, drives and presents very well and was genially owned by a Reverend. If you wish to come and view the car at our auction rooms in Cheshire, you are more than welcome and we look forward to seeing you.
