Selling on behalf of a very good customer, this lovely old Ford Consul Saloon, first registered on 6th May 1961, is well finished in, we think, its original Dorchester Grey with complimentary red interior.  The car has obviously had restoration work carried out in the past, including a repaint, and new interior, both holding up well.  The headlining has also been renewed and is excellent.  This is a very spacious car, which would seat six easily and is ideal for family outings, with a large boot for luggage, picnic hamper etc.  Seatbelts are fitted to the front and rear.  Very comfortable to sit in, and easy to drive, with its strong 1700cc engine and pleasing 3-speed column change gearbox.  The underside is well used but tidy, as is the under-bonnet area (easily improved by some attention to the heater and rocker box cover).  Wheels and tyres are sound, and the chromework, which has also obviously been renewed at some stage, is pretty good.  Doors, boot, and bonnet all fit well and close easily.  A great car for this year's show season.  Current V5C.
