  • Fantastic opportunity to get a very rare car
  • Heritage certificate
  • Original registration number
  • Low ownership
  • Appears to be all parts to finish off

We are very pleased to bring to market this very rare MGA Twin-Cam Roadster finished in red. This is an already started project that needs finishing off, and it would appear that most of the hard work has been done and it is just a case of putting it back together. As with any project, we would love you to come along to our purpose built auction rooms in Cheshire and check it out for yourself. We are sure you will know better than us as to where it is up to and what parts come with it.

There is a large collection of parts including steel and fibre wings, a spare 4-speed gearbox (although it is currently fitted with a 5-speed), doors which appear to be ready for paint, chassis parts, seats, trim, hard top, boot rack, and a whole lot more boxes of parts and bits and pieces. The vendor, who has just ran out of time, believes that most, if not all, of the parts are there to finish it off.

The paperwork is a vast collection of invoices and receipts going back many years, older MOTs, copies of older V5s showing that it has only had 6 owners in total (backed up by the HPi report), copies of invoices from when it has previously been sold, owner’s manual and, best of all, a heritage certificate. This confirms that the MGA is a UK example registered on 11/5/1959, which was originally white with black trim, and came with centre lock disc wheels, four wheel disc brakes and competition deluxe seats, and is on the number that it was originally registered on ‘234 KPC’.

This is a great opportunity to get yourself a very rare car, especially a British icon of the time such as this and as a project that has already had a lot of time and money spent on it, where you can see what has been done. This is the perfect MGA to put your personal stamp on - all the parts, a UK RHD example and a blank canvas. What’s not to like?
