Here we have a nice restoration project which would appear to be not too difficult, but please come and have a look to make up your own mind. The ‘Ponton’ came from New South Wales in Australia in 2013 and went straight into our vendor’s storage to be recommissioned. As ever things change, and nothing was done to it so it has sat in his storage until now. The Mercedes is finished in white with a dark tan interior, which is in very good condition. There is a little bit to do but it is perfectly serviceable as it is, in fact, it is quite a nice place to be sat. The exterior would benefit from paintwork and the chrome could do with a re-chrome, although some may choose to leave it as is and run it as an original car.

The nice thing about the car is that it appears to be complete, and coming from Australia it is a RHD example making it very rare and desirable to the Mercedes fans amongst us. They are a rare site today and ones you do see all seem to be LHD, hence why it is a good thing to have a RHD car. The paperwork is quite sparse as you may expect, as it is not yet registered in the UK but does come with a C&E 386 form which shows that the duties have been paid. Other paperwork shows the import details and shipping, so the Mercedes would need to be UK registered with the DVLA if you were planning to keep it in the UK.
