This is a really good example of the famous MG TC, in excellent condition throughout and with a lovely patina.  According to the ‘T Register’ the car was built on 4^th April 1949, and was then despatched to New Zealand where we understand it remained until 2015, when it was imported back into this country.  It has remained in the same ownership for around six years.  The car is in such good condition that we assume it must have been restored during its time in New Zealand.  The structure - including chassis, body frame and panel work - is all very, very good and the paintwork has a nice finish with only one or two age-related marks.  Mechanically, it has been very well maintained and the file contains plenty of invoices.  The engine has obviously been replaced at some stage with another XPAG unit and it would appear that it was rebuilt in 2008.  The engine runs well, starts easily and shows good oil pressure with no overheating, and the gearbox and back axle are nice and quiet.  The suspension appears to be in good order.  The under bonnet area is very clean and tidy as you can see from the photograph.  The interior of the car, including leather seats, door cards, and carpets, is good and the canvas weather gear ie hood and side screens, is in very good condition and of very good quality – there is also a tonneau cover.  The wheels are good as are the (correct type) tyres.  This is a lovely car to drive, further enhanced by the fitting of a VW steering box which improves things no end, as you no doubt know.  Apart from the steering box, the car seems to be very original in specification.  Comes with V5C, MOT to January 2023, workshop manual.
