1938 Austin 7 Tourer Hants, United Kingdom

Trade : £9,250

Sellers description

1938 Austin 7 Opal - two Seater Tourer

August 1934 saw the Austin range undergo some significant revisions - the most obvious being the new front end treatment which featured a painted cowl over the radiator.

The Austin Seven ‘Jewel Series’ cars were launched to considerable acclaim, the new models being the ‘Ruby’ saloon, ‘Pearl’ cabriolet and ‘Opal’ two seat tourer - the later being the lowest priced Austin at £105.

Presented for sale here is a late example, which was registered on 13th August 1938.

Clearly much work has been carried out on the car during recent years, as the paintwork and overall appearance are generally good. The hood is serviceable and the seats have been reupholstered at some point. The car has also been retired to a good standard.

There are many bills supplied detailing recent maintenance.

An opportunity to acquire an open Austin Seven for a modest sum ready for enjoyment this Summer.
