Sellers description
1937 Austin 7 Special
As you can see a fair amount of work has already been done but there is still some way to go although the vendor is fairly confident that most, if not all, parts required to finish the job are present. The car consists of a Mk1 Ruby chassis and back axle; a running Mk1 Ruby engine and gearbox; assorted engine ancillaries; Ulster bonnet and Nippy radiator shell; semi-Girling brakes front axle; new dropped sports steering box; new aluminium floor, bulkhead and propshaft tunnel; fuel tank; windscreen; seats; dash instruments; hood frame; eight 15” wheels and two new tyres. A large 8’ x 4’ sheet of aluminium is also included to assist in creating the body tub.
Although there are no documents with the car, it does come with a 1935 chassis plate which should aid in getting it registered once finished. A very large quantity of Austin Seven spares will also be made available to the winning bidder by separate negotiation if desired. These are simple cars to work on and getting this one finished should keep someone happily amused over the coming winter months.
