Smartly finished in the correct blue and black colours, this lovely Austin 10 is the desirable and quite rare Sherborne model, easily identified by its rakish rear end.  The car has been much enjoyed by its most recent lady custodian and has come for sale for genuine reasons only.  The condition of the bodywork is good, but with some age-related blemishes as you would expect, whilst the interior of the car is mainly original, but with the benefit of recent headlining.  There is a working sunroof, and opening windscreen.  The car has a lovely patina and should be enjoyed as is.  The underside appears to be good and sound and it has a recent set of tyres (all five).  It starts easily and runs and drives well, with 4-speed gearbox and 12 volt electrics.  Indicators have been added for safety – the existing semaphores are in place but not working – and surprise, surprise, the fuel gauge seems to work (accuracy unknown)!!  It would benefit from the brakes being rebalanced and readjusted, but otherwise – ready for ‘the off’!!  Comes with file containing hand book, invoices, old MOTs, new type V5C, old V5 and continuation log book from 1955.
