1935 Morris Eight Series 1 - Two Seat Tourer

Making its debut in September 1934, the Morris Eight was to become one of Britain's most loved small cars. The specification included hydraulic brakes and with the two-seater costing £118, the Eight represented excellent value for money in the highly competitive small car sector of the market.

The Morris Eight was to prove remarkably durable, with many examples still providing daily transport right through to the nineteen sixties.

Survivors enjoy an enthusiastic following and are supported by the Morris Register, with excellent availability of spares.

Offered here is a 1935 Series 1 two seat tourer, which resided in Belgium from 1985 and returned the UK around 2007. It underwent much restoration during this period and still presents in very smart condition with excellent red leather interior trim.

Although the car has seen little use during the past two years she runs well.

The hood and side screens are very good and serviceable and there is also a full tonneau cover.

The two seater model benefits from a large luggage area behind the seats – ideal for luggage and dog!

This Morris could prove an ideal first time pre-war car - simple to maintain and very economical to run.

A number of bills for more recent work are supplied, together with a Morris Register reprinted handbook. There is also the original manual included.

The UK is currently in total Lockdown and therefore closed for physical viewings. We hope to open for viewings by appointment only, from Monday 12th April (in line with Government guildelines).
