Sellers description
Very Rare and Sought After
1933 Alvis SA 16.95 Sports Saloon by Charlesworth being a works experimental car and a prototype for the 2 new models being the 'Speed Twenty' and Crested Eagle ranges. Her engine was later up dated at the works with triple SU carburettors bringing it into line with the previous models of SA Silver Eagles including a close ratio 4 speed box enhancing her performance. This Alvis is unique being the only known survivor of this particular style of Charlesworth. All her ash framework either refurbished or replaced where necessary with good spacing between her panels and a bare metal respray of good quality and now retaining a nice patina. Her interior is totally original and in beautiful condition. She drives superbly having had all her mechanics totally overhauled. She has an extensive history file by Alvis specialists including all letters, bills, handbooks, manuals etc including photographic evidence.
