The name ‘Graham Paige’ was created when the Graham Brothers bought Paige of Detroit and only appeared on cars from late 1927 to 1929. These are very rare cars, even in America, and there is believed to be only 12 Graham Paiges in the UK. This example was imported from Illinois in 2012 and little is known of its history other than it needed light body restoration, although it is believed it didn’t have any rust.
A striking late 1920s American Coupe, smartly presented in Dark Blue with Black wings and the original Black leather interior. A powerful (for its age) 3.1 litre engine is fitted under the hood. We recommended for this Graham Paige to be fully recommissioned before it could be safely used on UK roads. It was bought in our April Auction by a gentleman who has spent some money and a lot of time to get it running and driving, but due to older age (and bad knees) and with great regret he is unable to drive it which is the reason he bought it in the first place. He has also spent a great deal of time cleaning the car making it look a lot better than it did before. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a rare pre-war American motor car which would make for a highly rewarding recommissioning project to add to what has already been achieved with this wonderful piece of motoring history.
