1928 Austin 12/4 Windsor

for sale. Lack of storage forces sale of this nice old car.

The previous lady owner had this car from the late 60s until here death in 2012, I have owned it since 2013, it runs well with good oil pressure, the gearbox is surprisingly quiet, the car generally is nice to drive. The bodywork is in good tidy condition, but far from concourse. The interior was a mixture of colours, obviously door cards from a different car, the front and rear seats although of the correct type were different colours so I have made new door cards from the correct marine plywood, the seats have been professionally reupholstered in leather by Simon Berringer who is ace on these vintage Austin’s, needless to say the seats are perfect and to the correct buttoned pattern. With the car comes more than enough leather to complete the door cards, there is also sufficient new red stipple carpet of the correct pattern bought from the VAR spares dept. I have spent in excess of £1700 on the trim and trim materials.This car is far better than oily rag condition, it is on the road, and with some time spent on the interior it will be a nice car to be in.

Austin 12 Windows do not come up for sale often, they are a very attractive vintage car with their perpendicular body shape.

Price wise I am looking for something in excess of £10950
