Firstly, we will say that this is the nicest Pram Hood Chummy that we have seen.  It is a genuine and correct example with matching numbers.  The chassis number is clear to see on the frame and the engine number is well stamped.  The car was the subject of a top class restoration just a few years ago by a previous owner and a meticulous job was done.   Everything is in great working order including its original magneto type engine, which starts and runs very well indeed, mated to its 3-speed crash gearbox.  The bodywork is first class with well fitting doors, which have the correct, and fully working door handles – so no doors flying open as you drive along. The underside of the car is as you would expect – well finished in gloss black, the running gear is all in fine condition, with the spoked wheels having a good set of matching tyres.  The uncoupled brakes work well.  The internal upholstery is pretty much like new, including quality black leather seats.  The canvas hood is, again, of high quality and fits and operates perfectly, as do the correct side screens.  All the instruments on the dashboard work and are correct.  The car comes with V5C and a small amount of paperwork, including a very nice black and white photograph from 1951, when the car was sold on for the first time.  An all-round jolly good Austin Seven, ideal to show off at this year’s Austin Seven Centenary celebrations – we don’t think you’ll find a better example.
