Here we have a very interesting example of a KVA GT40 Evocation, which you can look at in one of two ways - if you know about GT40s and KVA then you may know what this is all about, and if you don’t, it’s worth finding out as it’s a very interesting story.

It comes to us from a deceased estate so the spoken history that we get from the vendor is not there, but what we do know is that the chap was a very talented engineer who spent a lot of time and money making this car. We believe that he acquired it in 2005 as an unfinished project and set about making it into what we see today, a GT40 Evocation finished in red with the black interior. A few people who have seen it first hand inform us that it appears very authentic in its build and attention to detail, but please come and see it for yourself to see what you think.

The paperwork is immense, with a huge amount of bills and receipts; the original instruction build details and relevant information from KVA, including electrical and suspension details; and a whole lot of technical details that have been gathered by the vendor over the years of ownership. With this comes lots of magazines and information from the GT40 Owner’s Club, as the chap was a member, and it is believed that it went to Le Mans in 2010 for an international meeting. This is backed up by tickets and pit lane passes from the time, we don’t know the last time the car was driven and we have not tried to start it.

This is an exceptional opportunity to get yourself possibly one of the most beautiful looking cars of all time. Yes, it is not the real thing, which runs into the millions even if you could find one, but this is the next best thing, and you could have no end of fun with it.
